An Introduction
Hey Readers,
To those who don’t know me yet, let me introduce myself. I’m Soumyadeep Nandi, an IIT Kharagpur alumnus with a background in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics and Computing. After a year working as a software development engineer at Trilogy Innovations and Agtuall, I left the corporate world to follow my true passion—teaching. Guiding young minds on their journey to JEE has been a way for me to relive my own path and share in the dreams of tomorrow’s achievers.
This blog is dedicated to all my students and the wider family of brothers and sisters out there who carry a world of questions and uncertainties—not just about academics, but about life’s twists and turns. I know that when students reach out to me, I can only answer a few questions at once. So, this blog is here for everyone, a space where I can share my own JEE journey—one that, like yours, was full of ups and downs, setbacks and comebacks.
I’m writing for the students who feel hesitant to ask, who worry about being judged, who wonder if their teacher could truly understand their struggles. But if there’s one thing I’d like you to remember, it’s this: I’ve been where you are, and I’m one of you.
I’ll talk here about more than just academics—about strategies, revision techniques, which books I found most helpful, how to juggle time, how I planned my preparation, and how I, too, faced failure time and again but rose up each time with more strength and purpose.
And yes, I’ll share glimpses of my college life as well—the memories that still light up my days :)
I believe many can teach JEE Advanced, but those who have walked this path know it in their bones. Because JEE is more than just mastering Physics, Chemistry, and Math. It’s a lifestyle, a two-year journey of resilience and growth.
This is my first published article. I hope it feels like I’m right there with you, sharing the stories and lessons from my heart.
